I don't know what had got into me this time. But I would like to share some basic knowledge which maybe my fellow readers knew it already. I would like to start by saying men nowadays shifted from being masculine to being metrosexual. Regardless men or women, we are spending more on clothes every year. So I figured out to post about few successful designers. Unfortunately, since the dawn of fashion, which I believed establish by Charles Frederick Worth, some of these designers didn't make it all the way until today. But in their time, they were legends. Calvin Klein, for example, sold his brand to Phillips-Van Heunsen as well as Donna Karan and Giorgio Armani.
Let me begin with this guy,
Ralph Lauren. A very humble beginning from the son of a Bronx house painter who started his first product line which was a group of men's ties. Four decades later, 'Polo' still on the run in the fashion industry. Lauren certainly gets the prize for consistency and longevity.

Next successful designer is
Manolo Blahnik. This is the very man who has been making stilettos into object of desire since 1972. Blahnik, the Spanish-born designer personally hand-finishes his drop-dead gorgeous high beechwood heels. Manolo Blahnik shoes ranging from US$40 to US$400.

Next one is,
Miuccia Prada. Who on Earth doesn't know Prada? Or her lower-priced MiuMiu labels? This company was started by her grandfather some 30 years ago and Miuccia Prada remains one of the most influential designers in the world. After all, who can resists Prada's nylon handbags, backpacks, or even her men's plain white T-shirts?? Hahaha.

This is the interesting one,
Stefano Pilati. Who the hell can beat this guy eh? Pilati worked for Prada and then moved on to Giorgio Armani. Later on at his peak, he redefined the legacy of Yves Saint Lauren or known as YSL and then what?? He worked for Tom Ford. Geez, where this guy came from??

Last but not least, my kind of designer bebeh!!
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Yes, you are damn right.
Dolce & Gabbana or shortly known as
D & G. Apart from clothing lines, they added fragrances for men and women called Sicily. In 2001, they launched a younger and less expensive third brand, '&' (pronounced "and"). D & G is either something simple or something that is pure luxury.

That's all folks. Do correct me if I'm wrong anywhere about the facts. Appreciate it!
